The Williamsburg AIDS Network was founded in 1991 and has served the city of Williamsburg and James City County/York County as the primary source of case management, free confidential HIV testing and HIV/AIDS education for 20 years.
In January 2010 the Williamsburg AIDS Network (WAN) merged with The AIDS Fund – the corporate umbrella for WAN, the Tidewater AIDS Community Taskforce (TACT), and the Peninsula AIDS Community Taskforce (PACT). This merger empowers WAN to increase the types of services and resources we can offer our clients.
WAN is a vibrant part of the community services offered in Williamsburg and works collaboratively with many other entities including Old Towne Medical Center, The College of William and Mary, the Colonial Services Board, Williamsburg Place and the Farley Center, the Peninsula Regional Jail, the Network for Latino People and the MAPP Process.
