Liz Gill Neilson Red Ribbon Phoenix, 2009

Red Ribbon Phoenix is an oil painting created specifically for the Williamsburg AIDS Network (WAN) in 2009.  WAN has transformed the image into postcards for our donors to show their support of stopping the spread of HIV in the greater Williamsburg community.  The painting was donated to WAN by the artist, and can be purchased with a  designated donation to WAN, contact us at info@williamsburgaidsnetwork.org for more information.

Liz Gill Neilson is a painter, printmaker, and designer. In her recent work in painting and multimedia collaboration with musicians and storytellers, she strives to create a mythology of form that reveals the web of connection between humans and the natural world. Liz received her B.A. in visual arts from Columbia University in 2002 and shows her work in New York, Virginia, Oregon, and the Boston area. She and her husband, composer Duncan Neilson, live in Portland, OR.
