Free HIV Testing

Free confidential HIV testing is available at the office of the Williamsburg AIDS Network every Monday - Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

WAN uses OraQuick Rapid testing. It is an oral swab (no blood drawn) and the result is available in 20 minutes.
WAN Recommends:
The mission of WAN is to improve the quality of life through education about HIV/AIDS and service and support for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
1. You make an appointment to be tested. We want to be sure a prevention specialist is in the office when you come in.

2. You come in for testing 12 weeks after the last time you had unprotected sex or used a shared needle. The test looks for HIV anti-bodies which can take 12 weeks for your body to generate.

3. You plan for a 30 minute visit. The test itself takes 20 minutes and there will be a time to talk with a prevention specialist and ask any questions you have about HIV/AIDS and sexual health.
